Review of:Angel Eyes (2001)
Director:Luis Mandoki
Rating:Rated R for language, violence and a scene of sexuality
Starring:Jennifer Lopez, James Caviezel, Terrence Howard, Jeremy Sisto, Sonia Braga
This is a beautiful tale of two people who need each other. One is a policewoman (played by Jennifer Lopez) who through problems that she has had to deal with in the past has a problem with trusting in other people. Her character is tough on the outside, and cold as ice in the inside, or is she? When she encounters a mysterious stranger he stirs something inside of her. Could be curiousity about him or the way he acts?
He was kind of like a car wreck, you couldn't keep your eyes off of him. This movie at times has a strange overcast to it like we are watching the movie through a viel. Strangely enough after you view the movie you will understand why this is. We come to find out that the mystery man has a very interesting past, and through a series of flashbacks we view quite a few of them. This movie has a lot of intangibles to it that make it a good movie to go see. It definately will keep you focused in on what is going on onscreen. This movie is also a testimont to the fact that J-lo is on her way to becoming a very good actress.
